Racism in Work Areas

One major source of racial discrimination is in workplaces or offices all over the world. In 2011, the biggest type of discrimination in work areas was by race. It would limit peoples chances of getting any quality job, even with degrees and money. It's unfair how blacks would get fired because of their color, and because of this, the income would be almost at minimum wage every week. Many laws used to state that no matter what kind of business you are in whether it's clothing, foods, or financial, all the employees need to listen to their bosses instructions, even if they are to discriminate. Work places will discriminate against race by trying to convince blacks not to buy things or not allow blacks into their store. I don't see why people will be able to do this, and not feel guilty.

Just because people are different races, does not mean they should be accused of things, and have limited privileges as whites do. They deserve to have equal rights, and have just as many privileges and responsibilities as whites do. Blacks should be able to get promotions and raises, but since they are discriminated against, they aren't able to. Since this discrimination has occurred, backs have had much lower income to live off of. Even with big families to feed. No one deserves to live like this, but thousands of people do. They deserve to have equal rights and live the life they desire. Work places should not be doing this just because they think it will lose business. Blacks should be allowed to be as successful as whites are in everything, so they should except the fact that blacks are human beings too.

Racism in Schools

People say that everyone is born equal no matter what race, color, or gender they are, but is that entirely true? Racial discrimination has been a major issue for thousands of years and continues today. The thing is, no matter what age you are, avoiding it is not an option. You can see it in the news, on the streets, or even in school environments. School is a major source of racial discrimination. Back in the day, People would not be able to use the same water fountains as people of different races so they wouldn't get their 'disease'. Imaging being prohibited from using the same bathroom as a different race. There would be signs all over the hall way saying whites only, no pets, or blacks not allowed! No person should be put through this pain no matter who you are. Blacks and whites should be able to share the same public places because they are all human beings.

In school environments, teachers would even discriminate against race. If there was a white teacher, they would purposely fail students of different races to make them see like less. It's unfair for blacks to be treated like lower class citizens even by adults. Teachers are someone students look up to, and if they see them discriminating, whites students will most likely do the same thing.

History of Racism

Racism is a terrible problem that happens when one ethnic group acts different to a different ethnic group just because they have a different religion, race, or tradition. Back in the 1600's racism was basically a daily way of life. Whites were always in higher classes, with families of different races underneath them them, as servants, maids, or even slaves. It was a horrifying way of life, and the treatment people of different races received was brutal at some points. If they did not obey the whites, they would be abused in front of anyone who was there to witness, whether it was elderly, adults, or new born babies.

The growth of racism increased in the 19th century, in Europe and in the United States. Blacks wouldn't be allowed to go to the same places white people would because they thought it would harm them or their kids. Once relations between different races started to form and not many people agreed with this. Cultures started to come together because people realized that they shouldn't focus on what past relatives did against other races and that they should make their own individual idea about relations with different races.

Racism struck the highest in the twentieth century during the rise and fall of when people really started to become racist. This was when South America passed laws and restrictions against the black and Africans on voting, and limited their rights in the USA. People who were against relations with different races had a plan to prevent black and white relationships. Some things they did were terrible, but it helped them achieve there goals.
